Lottery Projection

1. New Orleans Pelicans: Zion Williamson

No surprise here as the NBA Draft Lottery announcement was labeled the Zion Williamson sweepstakes. Zion can rely on his athleticism until his jumper becomes more developed.

2. Memphis Grizzlies: Ja Morant

This is not really a shock either as the Memphis Grizzlies are not hiding the fact they want to move on from Mike Conley and are more than willing to hand the keys to this athletic guard with great vision.

3. New York Knicks: RJ Barrett

And to round out the for sure top 3 is RJ Barrett, who is great running the pick and roll offense the NBA has become a fan of.

4. New Orleans Pelicans: Deandre Hunter

It is more than likely that the Pelicans trade down, but on the chance they don’t I believe that they will draft Hunter. Hunter is a great defender who can also know down the outside shot at a fairly average clip.

5. Cleveland Cavaliers: Jarrett Culver

Culver, after a great season at Texas Tech, could be a great 3 and D guy for the Cavaliers this upcoming season as he develops his game a little more.

6. Phoenix Suns: Darius Garland

The Phoenix Suns have been waiting for the type of guard to pair with Devin Booker, and Darius Garland is that guy. A great offensive guard who can get you the ball so you can score, or a bucket on the offensive end.

7. Chicago Bulls: Coby White

A good score first guard whose game will translate well. Enter a team in need of a dominant Point Guard and Coby White is your guy.

8. Atlanta Hawks: Cam Reddish

Cam Reddish was a very good player at Duke who had to take a back seat to Zion and RJ. He is a very good scorer, and also very crafty at stealing the ball. Look for the Hawks to add somebody for Trae Young to pass to.

9. Washington Wizards: Sekou Doumbouya

Doumbouya is a great athlete, who lives on the defensive end, and relies on transitions for him to score most of his buckets. He is a great athlete who can guard the 2-5 and shoot above average in catch and shoot situations.

10. Atlanta Hawks: Bol Bol

Bol Bol is an amazing talent who can shoot, block almost every shot in the lane, and dribble and pass well enough for a big man. His only problem is at 7’2” he weighed in at 208 at the NBA combine. If he wants to be successful he has to put on some weight before and during the season.

11. Minnesota Timberwolves: Brandon Clarke

A very athletic defensive forward who can fit nicely next to KAT. Needs to improve his outside shot at the next level.

12. Charlotte Hornets: Jaxson Hayes

Jaxson Hayes is a great rim running and defensive center. If the Charlotte Hornets can keep Kemba then look for some great Pick and Roll situations with these 2.

13. Miami Heat: Romeo Langford

An athletic guard who can score in a variety of ways, and an aggressive defender. He needs to develop a better jumper, but can definitely take over a scoring load for a Heat team that needs that presence.

14. Boston Celtics: Rui Hachimura

Hachimra is a great defender, rebounder, and athletic forward. He has a very good dribble drive game that works in transition or the half court set. Outside shot does not look that strong as of right now.

15. Detroit Pistons: Nickeil Alexander-Walker

A very good scorer and playmaker that the Pistons have needed for a long time. Can pull up off a screen, but also has adequate playmaking skills to the point you can’t just expect him to pull up every time. Needs to add a little weight to have a smoother transition.
